Collection of Brooklyn-Queens Chapter of NOW

Scope and Contents The collection consists of materials dating from 1972 to 2013, with the bulk of the items dating from 1995-2003. It contains the papers of the Brooklyn (later Brooklyn-Queens) chapter of the National Organization for Women, some papers of NOW-New York State, the Equal Rights Amendment Coalition and collected documents. The collection contains primarily meeting minutes, newsletters, correspondence, as well as periodicals, newspaper clippings and collected posters and brochures.

Scope and Contents The Kings County United Spanish War Veterans Collection contains documents largely pertaining to the organization’s William H. Hubbell Camp #4 and #12. Included are enrolled members applications, convention proceedings books, booklets and pamphlets. The Papers of the Sebago Canoe Club

The Alexander Kadison Papers

Scope and Contents The collection contains incoming and outgoing correspondence from 1910 to 1965. The correspondence written by Kadison is dated from 1942 onward. Many of these letters were from Leonard D. Abbot (1878-1953). Abbott was born in England, radicalized through the free speech movement in the Progressive Era, and later became the president of the Free Speech League in 1907.
